Singer B.J.Ward loves to break musical rules and that’s what she has done yet again with her new recording, Syrinx – Voice of the Songbird – an amazing collection of classical favorites performed with a 21st century sensibility.

From the rhythmic new look at Barcarolle (1880 opera The Tales of Hoffman) to her gorgeous interpretation of Evening Prayer (1893 opera Hansel and Gretel) to the mysterious, sensual title track (a duet with flute), she has captured something very special.

Produced and recorded by Andy Waterman at The Bakery in North Hollywood, California, Syrinx includes the innovative arrangements of seven-time Grammy nominee, Les Hooper.

It features the brilliant guitar of Grant Geissman and haunting flute of Pedro Eustache as well as the versatile keyboards of Joseph Thalken.
