Here, the WSB with John Major on Organ, capsule the essence of Nielsen. All of the arrangements for this recording were feverishly completed over the summer of 2000, and the music was rehearsed primarily during the final week of August.
The recording sessions in Washington National Cathedral in the late evenings, in order to minimize the risk of traffic sounds from Massachusetts and Wisconsin Avenues and jet aircraft noises from flights in and out of Reagan National Airport.
