American premiere recording of several Baroque horn Concerti. Two are found in the recently discovered Lundt manuscript in Sweden. Remaining works are of similar interest. The Neruda Concerto, usually performed by trumpet, is played by the instrument originally specified, the horn. Bach’s Brandenburg Concerto no. 2 is rendered with horn instead of trumpet. This interpretation is of important historical interest, since the trumpet of choice during Bach’s time, the
American Record Guide says of his playing: …an excellent tone and the ability and temperatment to play heroically.
