Michael Mulcahy
Biography
Michael Mulcahy is a member of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and principal trombone of the Grand Teton Music Festival, formerly serving as principal trombone of the Cologne Radio, Melbourne, and Tasmanian Symphonies. Currently a member of the Chicago Chamber Musicians and Summit Brass, he is the winner of international music competitions in Munich, Vercelli, and Markneukirchen. Mulcahy is also an accomplished conductor specializing in contemporary music. Active as soloist, teacher, lecturer, and clinician in North America, Europe, Asia, and Australia, he has served as music director of the National Music Camp of Australia and is the former head of brass at the Canberra School of Music at Australian National University.
