Description
‘Swift, smooth samba mixed liberally with Rio street-beat and hip electronica is the name of the game Randy Brecker plays with a who’s who of Brazil’s studio cats…lifts off, light and breezy, with a dozen tunes penned by pop icons, all sketched in pastel wash by film-score whiz Ruria Duprat…Brecker gambols on his horns…not a care in the world…darting solos. How refreshing.’ -Downbeat
Randy Brecker has been shaping the sound of Jazz, R&B and Rock for decades. His trumpet and flugelhorn performances have graced hundreds of albums by a wide range of artists from James Taylor, Bruce Springsteen, Chaka Khan, George Benson and Parliament-Funkadelics to Frank Sinatra, Steely Dan, David Sanborn, Horace Silver, Jaco Pastorius and Frank Zappa.
