John Mackay began his professional career at eighteen, playing the Hammond B-3 in a number of venues. He has worked with some of Canada’s finest jazz musicians, including Peter Appleyard, Don Thompson, Marty Morell, and Michael Stewart while simultaneously playing commercial gigs with Roger Whittaker and Jim Carey. Winner of the 2005 Composers’Guild Award for Best Jazz Composition
