Biography

Member, American Brass Quintet, 1973-2013. Principal trumpet, New York City Ballet Orchestra; former member of American Composers Orchestra and Summit Brass. Performed and recorded with the New York Philharmonic, Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center, and Speculum Musicae. Soloist with the Boston Pops, Naumburg Orchestra, Aspen Chamber Symphony, and the Orpheus Chamber Orchestra. Recitalist, Columbia Artists trumpet-organ duo Toccatas and Flourishes, 1983-84. Solo recordings for Summit Records. Former faculty, Manhattan School of Music and North Carolina School of the Arts. Aspen Music School faculty since 1973.
